Description

The birthplace of this specialty lot is Guatemala, in the San Pedro La Laguna region, situated on the shores of Lake Atitlan. With an altitude exceeding 1,500 meters above sea level, organic-rich soils, and abundant rainfall, this area creates a unique microclimate for coffee trees.

Producers in this region adhere to the washed processing of beans, using water from the lake. It is this water that imparts a special acidity, later softened by a carefully selected roasting profile.

Taste profile: raisins, apple, plum.

An intriguing and delicate combination that delights with exotic sensations and a long-lasting aftertaste. This coffee will appeal even to the most discerning coffee enthusiasts.

Origin

One cannot remain indifferent to Guatemalan coffee. This premium Arabica is globally renowned and holds a place on the shelves of the most discerning coffee enthusiasts.

Guatemala's mountainous terrain allows for coffee production in almost every region, propelling the country into the top 10 global coffee exporters. Currently, Guatemala is divided into 8 coffee regions, each with its own unique bean characteristics.

Interestingly, in the 18th century, when missionaries first introduced coffee trees to the country, no one expected success. The intense sun literally scorched the vegetation. Results were achieved when coffee trees were planted alongside shade-providing plants. Today, Guatemala boasts 800-850 million coffee trees.

General characteristics of Guatemalan coffee:

  • Gentle acidity
  • Fresh aroma of fruits
  • Subtle notes of smoke"
